Development Engineer for Intelligent Algorithms (m/f/d)

Embedded AI (a Business Unit of Linguwerk GmbH) is an interdisciplinary technology company in the heart of Dresden. We develop sophisticated hardware and software solutions in which modern algorithms, Embedded Systems, sensor technology, and Machine Learning flow together seamlessly. Our projects range from research and prototyping to series development – always with high technical standards and direct customer contact.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a

Development Engineer for Intelligent Algorithms (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Design, simulation, and implementation of algorithms for signal, audio, and image processing
• Development of methods for detecting objects, events, gestures, living beings, positions, movement trajectories, and biometric features from diverse signal sources (including ultrasound, sound, 2D/3D image and video, radio signals, Ultra-wideband (UWB), FMCW-Radar, IMU)
• Modeling, implementation, and optimization of Machine Learning algorithms
• Feature Engineering, signal detection, and pattern recognition
• Planning and conducting experiments as well as continuous performance analysis and improvement of existing systems
• Close cooperation in an interdisciplinary team (including with Embedded and Software developers)

Your Profile

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Electrical/Communications Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable technical field
• Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and pattern recognition
• Programming skills in C, C++, and Python (necessary for the work)
• Advantageous: experience with UWB signals or RADAR systems
• Advantageous: additional knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for algorithmic prototypes
• Good written and spoken English skills
