Logistics Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for an IT-savvy Logistics Assistant to support daily logistics and warehouse operations at Jurong Fishery Port .
This role is suitable for someone who is comfortable using smartphones, tablets, handheld barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) .You will help ensure that inventory records, picking activities and delivery dispatch information are accurately updated in our digital systems.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound and outbound shipments using WMS software and handheld scanners to track inventory movements accurately
- Digitalize picking logs and update inventory records to resolve stock discrepancies through warehouse systems
- Coordinate dispatch schedules and delivery arrangements with drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics teams using messaging apps and digital dashboards
- Troubleshoot basic connectivity and system issues on handheld scanners and warehouse floor devices to minimize operational disruptions
- Assist with general logistics and warehouse administrative tasks as needed to support daily operations
- Ensure all data entered into warehouse and logistics systems is accurate and up to date to maintain reliable inventory records
- Identify basic operational or system issues and take appropriate corrective actions promptly
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to support smooth logistics workflows
- Work independently and as part of warehouse and logistics teams to meet operational goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in tech-enabled logistics or digital warehouse roles
- Experience with WMS, inventory management systems, or warehouse scanning systems
- Proficiency with digital tools including smartphones, tablets, handheld barcode scanners, and inventory applications
- Basic computer literacy including MS Excel, Google Sheets, email, and web portals
- Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges
