About the company

For over 45 years, this industrial SME in Haute-Savoie (50 employees) has been designing and installing custom machining equipment for the aeronautics, defense, and nuclear sectors. No two projects are ever identical. It supports major customers in Europe, North America, and Asia, driven by a strong rebound in activity since the summer.

Your tasks

This position is opening because one of the two engineers responsible for the industrialization department is moving into another internal role. You will join as a pair with the second engineer, a PhD in machining from CETIM, who is pragmatic and close to the field.

  • Lead and validate strategic machining choices, from feasibility studies to final acceptance
  • Validate - or challenge - the machining sequences and processes proposed by your team of technicians
  • Act as the primary technical liaison with the client: you are the one who decides what is possible, what is not, and at what price
  • Manage machining and industrialization projects (deadlines, costs, quality), in connection with R&D

Requirements

You have at least 10 years of experience in machining, a true expertise in cutting processes, and a desire to pass on your knowledge. Management of a team of technicians is appreciated, and a profile from the décolletage industry is entirely conceivable. A Master's degree in mechanical engineering is a plus, but field experience counts just as much.

  • Excellent mastery of machining technologies and strategies, and CAD/CAM tools such as TopSolid, Mastercam, or Robot Master.
  • Ability to challenge a machining sequence and identify risks before they become problems
  • Recognized leadership, ability to unite teams and make decisions, including under client pressure
  • Rigor - essential for aeronautics and nuclear projects - and professional English #LI-SD1

Other

A position of trust, working on aeronautics and nuclear projects where technical rigor makes all the difference.
