Job Description
We are seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Human Resources Assistant. This position is to provide coverage for an employee leave and is anticipated to begin in December 2026 and continue through approximately March 2028. The hours will typically be in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Base wage: $22.50 - $24.00 / hour
Location: 45 Innovation Dr, Hamilton, ON L9H 7L8

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting with full-cycle recruitment, including conducting phone screenings and participating in interviews as required
- Assisting with the creation and posting of job ads, both internally and externally
- Coordinating pre-start reference checks
- Drafting employment contracts
- Processing onboarding documentation and communicating with internal stakeholders regarding new hires
- Organizing and conducting new hire orientation training
- Organizing and conducting general safety and HR training across our Ontario facilities
- Coordinating new hire welcome lunches
- Organizing and participating in Job Fairs and campus recruitment events
- Assisting with the maintenance of employee records and HR documentation
- Assisting with HR reporting, data analysis, and workforce metrics using Excel
- Preparing presentations and training videos using PowerPoint and AI tools (Google Vids)
- Conduct student exit interviews
- Preparing travel letters to support international employee travel
- Following all quality, safety, and company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills with the ability to create professional presentations and training materials
- Comfort using AI-powered tools and technology to enhance efficiency, communication, and presentation development
Key Experience/Education:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources required
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Pursuing CHRP designation is an asset
