Overseas Software Project Manager

Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced Overseas Software Project Manager with a strong software development background to lead international projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between client requirements and technical implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

• Gather and analyze client requirements to develop feasible project plans that align with business goals
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage timelines and ensure smooth execution of software projects
• Monitor project scope and handle change requests to mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead technical discussions to manage requirements and resolve issues promptly, ensuring alignment with project objectives
• Conduct project retrospectives to optimize processes and improve delivery efficiency
• Apply Agile project management techniques including sprint planning and progress tracking to enhance team performance
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and facilitate collaboration under pressure
• Travel internationally for short-term assignments as required to support project delivery

Requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience and at least 1 year of project management experience
• Hands-on experience in Java or .NET software development projects
• Familiarity with at least one major database system such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or Redis
• Proficiency in Agile project management methodologies, including sprint planning and progress tracking
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for effective collaboration and issue resolution
• Fluent English communication skills for business purposes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• PMP or Agile project management certification
• Experience managing international projects or cross-cultural teams
• Proficiency in Mandarin as an advantage for enhanced communication with certain clients or teams
