Experienced Scientific Manager (m/f) (M/F)

LHH Recruitment Solutions, a recruitment consulting, specialized temporary staffing, interim management, and expert, executive, and leader assessment firm, is searching for its client specializing in Earth sciences, an EXPERIENCED SCIENTIFIC MANAGER M/F in Orléans (45).

Do you want to put your scientific expertise, strategic vision, and management talents at the service of major environmental challenges? In a context of strong societal and regulatory expectations regarding soil pollution, groundwater, and emerging substances, you will take responsibility for a department recognized for its scientific and technical expertise: Risks and polluted soils.

Your missions:

Lead and animate a team of experts

• Ensure the hierarchical management of all employees, including the PhD students in your team,
• Encourage cooperation and synergies with other departments of the company.

Define and carry the scientific strategy of the unit

• Build the scientific and technical roadmap of your team in coherence with the strategic orientations of the company,
• Identify emerging issues related to polluted sites and soils, waste, and soil monitoring.
• Develop innovative programs integrating multidisciplinary and multi-scale approaches.
• Contribute to the evolution of decision-making methods and tools serving public policies.

Drive activity and performance

• Organize the distribution of resources and plan your team's activities.
• Ensure the monitoring of objectives, performance indicators, and the roadmap.
• Propose and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, the quality framework, and internal rules.

Represent and promote the excellence of your structure

• Develop scientific, institutional, and industrial partnerships;
• Promote the unit's work during congresses, conferences, and professional events.
• Contribute to the influence of your company through scientific publications, expertise, and communication actions.
• Represent the Risks Department before internal and external bodies.

With a minimum of a Bac+5 degree in the fields of geosciences, environment, or related disciplines, with successful experience in team management or steering scientific and technical activities.

Recognized for your leadership, with 5 to 10 years of experience in the fields of site environment & polluted soils, risk management, environmental risks, hydrogeology, environmental risks, waste management, industrial environments, research organizations, public administrations/agencies, expertise bodies, consulting firms, environmental engineering, etc., your application will be carefully studied.

Proficiency in English is indispensable.
