Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner (Children & Young People Services)

Location: Gateshead Salary: £52,000 + £4,800 Car Allowance + up to 15% Performance Bonus Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition professional with a passion for building high-performing teams in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment?

We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner to lead recruitment strategy across multiple regions supporting children's and young people's services. This is a strategic and operational leadership role, responsible for workforce planning, talent attraction, stakeholder partnering, and leading a team of recruitment professionals.

The Opportunity

As a senior member of the Talent Acquisition function, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering recruitment strategies that support business growth and workforce planning objectives. You'll lead, coach and develop a team while remaining actively involved in key recruitment projects and leadership hiring across your regions.

You'll also contribute to wider talent initiatives, including employer branding, digital recruitment innovation, workforce planning, diversity hiring and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand current and future workforce requirements.
  • Develop and deliver regional recruitment and onboarding strategies.
  • Lead and support a team of Talent Acquisition and Onboarding professionals.
  • Take ownership of management and leadership recruitment across your regions.
  • Build effective attraction strategies to create sustainable candidate pipelines.
  • Produce and present recruitment metrics, workforce data and market insights.
  • Drive improvements in candidate experience and recruitment processes.
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, Finance and Marketing to maximise recruitment ROI.
  • Deliver recruitment best practice and interview skills training to hiring managers.
  • Support succession planning and talent mapping initiatives.
  • Ensure recruitment activities remain compliant with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within the organisation.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

You'll have:

  • Strong experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Business Partnering or Recruitment Leadership.
  • Experience within social care, healthcare, children's services, education, or another high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing recruitment teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capabilities.
  • Understanding of workforce planning, talent development and succession planning.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment compliance and inclusive hiring practices.
  • A resilient, proactive and results-driven approach.

Working Pattern & Travel

This is a hybrid role, typically working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.

The role involves regular travel across regions including the Midlands, West Midlands, North East and Essex, supporting operational teams and recruitment activity. Travel is fully supported and forms an important part of building strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
