We're partnering with a leading UK infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Planner to join a high-profile programme of work.
This is an excellent opportunity for planning professionals with strong Primavera P6 expertise who thrive in complex project environments and enjoy influencing project delivery through robust scheduling, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and overseeing detailed project schedules across major infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with project leadership teams, providing critical path analysis, progress reporting, scenario modelling, and strategic planning support to help ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fully logic-linked project schedules using Primavera P6
- Monitor and communicate critical path activities, schedule risks, and early warnings
- Produce look-ahead plans, progress reports, S-Curves, and performance metrics
- Conduct schedule analysis, scenario planning, and "what-if" assessments
- Support project teams with resource planning, levelling, and optimisation strategies
- Integrate and review schedules from external partners and contractors
- Ensure schedule governance, baseline control, and compliance with best practice standards
- Support delay analysis, extension of time discussions, and risk management activities
- Facilitate planning workshops and collaborate with project controls, cost, risk, and delivery team
What We're Looking For
- Extensive planning experience within large-scale infrastructure, construction, utilities, engineering, or capital delivery projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology and project controls
- Experience producing detailed project schedules, progress reporting, and performance analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence delivery teams without direct line management responsibility
- Knowledge of NEC contracts, early warnings, compensation events, and programme management principles is highly desirable

- £600-£700 per day
- Inside IR35
- Rolling contract opportunity with long-term programme visibility
- Hybrid working: 3 days per week on-site in Brighton
