Automation Manager (M/F)

Job Description:

LHH is recruiting on behalf of its client, an excellent company specializing in the manufacture of special-purpose machines, an Automation Manager (M/F) in Périgueux (24000) under a CDI contract.

The Automation Manager (M/F) organizes and plans the work of automation engineers. He/she distributes tasks and monitors the proper execution of their collaborators' work. He/she is also in charge of technological monitoring, and integrating and developing artificial intelligence solutions to strengthen the performance, reliability, and innovation of automated bagging lines.

Management: Manage and coordinate a team and its activity. Set up meetings between collaborators. Unify and facilitate understanding among them.

• Participate in production meetings.
• Participate in recruitment, manage leave, professional and individual interviews, and disciplinary interviews.
• Motivate and value collaborators for their work, ensure the optimization of their skills, and supervise their work.

Implementation of automation systems: Design the specifications of the automated installation according to the requirements.

• Perform the functional analysis of the installation and translate it into an automation program.
• Test this program through a series of tests in the workshop and on-site.
• Install automation hardware.
• Perform commissioning adjustments of devices and instruments (cylinder, motor, distributor, transmitters, sensors, regulators). Enter the reset or modification of the automation program and transfer it to a programmable logic controller.
• Permanently use professional automation software.

Reading and design of technical plans: Define the technical characteristics of the product.

• Design electrical plans.
• Create a risk analysis and apply electrical standards.

On-site Management: Assist a user and a client during the handling of tools/equipment.

• Coordinate the activity of a team on a construction site.

Customer Management: Assist a client on-site with production and quality teams.

• Assist other technicians by telephone for customer troubleshooting.

Profile Description:

We are looking for a technical profile capable of supervising teams, planning work, and who knows how to take part in project management.

(An interest in Industry 4.0 and AI would be a real plus to your application)

This position is ideal for a confirmed / highly experienced profile who has worked for many years in similar positions in an industrial environment.

Theoretical and practical knowledge***Safety rules, quality standards

• Relay cabinet.
• Robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, electrotechnics, electricity
• Electrical authorizations for work out of and/or under tension
• Professional English

Technical skills***Automation, automation hardware, use of electrical measuring devices

• Use of programmable controllers, network architecture, regulation and instrumentation, servo and regulation techniques with other machines
• Reading and design of a GRAFCET in lists, fault localization, calibration techniques, reading plans, diagrams, office tools.
• Computer programming languages (ACONTACT and LIST), CAD/CAM, creation of electrical diagrams
• Inventory management software
• Software: SCHNEIDER, PROFACE, SEW MOTION STUDIO, SIEMENS, BR, ROCKWELL, CODESYS
