Project Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Part-Qualified Accountant to join a growing finance team in a commercially focused Project Accountant role.

Working within a complex, multi-site environment, you will partner with operational and project stakeholders to provide financial insight, robust forecasting, and performance analysis across a portfolio of strategic projects. This role would particularly suit candidates who have gained their experience within a large corporate, international, FTSE-listed, or matrix-structured organisation, where strong financial controls, reporting disciplines, and stakeholder management are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly project and management reporting, including detailed variance analysis.
• Lead project forecasting activities and support scenario planning.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and business objectives.
• Provide financial insight and decision support to operational and project leaders.
• Analyse project costs, capital expenditure, headcount, and resource utilisation.
• Support annual budgeting and target-setting processes.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, driving corrective action where required.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance requirements, and reporting standards.
• Support audit requests and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.

About You

• Part-qualified / Finalist (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Minimum 2 years' experience within a project accounting, management accounting, FP&A, or commercial finance environment.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
• Highly proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems.
• Confident communicator with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

The role offers a full study package and will require the successful candidate to be on site 3 days a week.
