Your Mission

According to the instructions given, based on existing procedures and operating modes and relying on their "partner," the Test Engineer:

Your Main Activities:

1 - Adjust the vehicle testing specifications and the associated schedule

• Analyze and Adjust the client specifications
• Occasionally support the Chargé d'Affaire in drafting the client response
• Define the Testing schedule with the client; alert on deadlines and the schedule if the Test Engineer believes they cannot be met
• Define the implementation of instructions and equipment to carry out the tests while respecting the defined procedures and / or instructions

2 - Perform vehicle tests, in a pair, or autonomously according to the defined procedures and schedule, by choosing the ad hoc testing means, and follow them

• Participate in the implementation of the test and the preparation of the vehicles
• Intervene in the fine-tuning of vehicles equipped with devices aimed at making them more autonomous (onboard sensors, controller control laws)
• Ensure technical monitoring, planning, and progress tracking of tests on the track
• Ensure consistency between studies and tests in order to control result uncertainties and guarantee quality, cost, and deadline requirements
• Perform critical analysis of results: enter data into ad hoc software, analyze Test data, perform statistics, etc.
• Write test reports, have them systematically reviewed by a Testing team referent, and have them approved by the Activity Manager:
• Produce the test report respecting document quality, accuracy, and impartiality, the requirements of current standards, and with the aim of reducing the delivery time to the client.

3 - Contribute to the continuous improvement of vehicle testing

• Develop instructions and tools for the performance and processing of test data, and have them systematically validated by a Testing team referent and approved by the Activity Manager
• Occasionally validate certain methods by acting as a substitute for the referent.
• Participate in R&D work on upstream and/or professional subjects with a view to developing new tools and/or a new service offering.

Training in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering or Transport Engineering

Knowledge in one or more fields such as vehicle dynamics, mechatronics, HIL bench, mechanical instrumentation (sensors, measurement unit) and signal processing, etc. Know the basic principles of electricity

Knowledge of processes

Know how to adjust parameters in software tools and machines; know how to program / adjust robot parameters and verify parameters (e.g.: tolerance zones, GPS data.) Ability to propose improvements, instructions, and solutions subject to validation by the referent (the referent being the process owner)

Know how to drive a vehicle with / without a trailer (for example: having experience driving a vehicle and driving a vehicle + trailer (even personally): vehicle with automatic gearbox, vehicle with manual gearbox

Proficiency in spoken and written English
