Group Accountant

About the company

A growing international business is seeking a qualified accountant to lead the finance function for a UK business unit. This is a varied role combining financial control, management reporting and commercial business partnering, working closely with senior leaders to support performance and profitability.

Your tasks

• Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs and financial analysis.
• Manage month-end processes, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and financial controls.
• Analyse margins, profitability and business performance.
• Partner with sales and operational teams to improve commercial outcomes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
• Support audits, statutory compliance and continuous process improvements.

Requirements

Essential

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Able to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach.

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, construction or service-based sectors.
• ERP system experience (SAP or similar).
• Experience within an international or group environment.
