Designer
Your tasks
- Design & Drawing Preparation
- Prepare concept designs, space planning, layout plans and detailed construction drawings.
- Produce 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp or other design software.
- Prepare shop drawings, detailed drawings and as-built drawings.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements.
- Ensure design drawings comply with project requirements and site conditions.
- Material Selection & Specifications
- Propose suitable materials, finishes, colours and design specifications.
- Prepare material schedules and coordinate sample submissions for client approval.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding material availability and technical specifications.
- Technical & Construction Support
- Review architectural and interior design drawings before construction.
- Coordinate design details with M&E and other relevant trades.
- Resolve design discrepancies and technical issues during construction.
- Ensure drawings are updated according to site changes.
- Tender & Documentation
- Assist in preparing tender drawings, specifications and design proposals.
- Support the QS team with drawings and material specifications for cost estimation.
- Maintain proper records of drawing revisions, approvals and submissions.
- Site Inspection & Quality Control
- Conduct site inspections to ensure works follow approved drawings.
- Monitor workmanship, finishes and design quality.
- Coordinate rectification of design-related defects.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of construction materials, interior fit-out works and detailing.
- Able to interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in Singapore construction or renovation projects is preferred.
