Software Developer

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain and improve existing applications and features. Work with existing codebases, APIs and databases. Build and test new product features. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Integrate third-party services and APIs. Collaborate with the Technology & AI team to translate requirements into solutions. Maintain clean, secure and well-documented code. Support continuous improvement of our digital products.

Requirements:

3 years' professional software development experience. Strong experience with modern frontend and/or backend development. Experience with APIs, databases and Git. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and work with an existing codebase. Experience with AI/LLM integrations, EdTech, SaaS or automation is an advantage. Degree/HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate practical experience with relevant technologies such as:

Frontend:  HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js or similar. Backend:  Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, or another modern backend technology. Databases:  PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or similar. APIs:  REST APIs and third-party integrations. Version Control:  Git/GitHub or equivalent. Cloud/Deployment:  AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or comparable platforms.

Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
