JOB DESCRIPTION:
Levio is currently looking for a Python Developer to contribute to a large-scale project located in Montréal in a hybrid mode.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and optimize Backend services in Python, primarily to automate and modernize financial forecasting processes;
Contribute to the evolution of distributed architectures and data pipelines using DataIQ, Databricks, and Snowflake;
Participate in the automation of monthly and weekly processing using Python and SQL, which will constitute the majority of the work;
Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions;
Analyze technical needs, propose robust solutions, and take part in architectural decisions;
Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of code, processes, and tools (automated tests, CI/CD, monitoring);
Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of applications in a highly regulated and multi-team context;
Interact with existing systems such as Teradata and various legacy platforms, while directing deliverables toward Snowflake.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development in complex environments;
Experience in the banking sector or within large financial institutions (required);
In-depth knowledge of data technologies: SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB);
Mastery of Linux environments and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, containerization);
Familiarity with DataIQ, Databricks, and Snowflake;
Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
