About the role
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a large-scale project based in Montreal in a hybrid mode (3 days per week).

Role and responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain a reusable, testable, and highly performant platform supporting several business lines on loan.
Develop Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs; implement robust data access layers.
Apply best practices in code reviews, automated testing, and SDLC execution.
Collaborate with global and multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
Ensure quality, security, and compliance in all development activities.
Autonomously lead technical initiatives and provide expert advice.
Qualifications and experience
More than 7 years of hands-on experience in developing Java 11+ services with Spring Boot and secure REST microservices.
Solid expertise with relational or document databases (SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch or equivalent).
Concrete experience with AI tools for developer productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amp or similar).
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and analyze effectively.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
