Company Description

Our client is a supplier of all kinds of tube products (exhaust pipes, cooling and chassis tubes...). The company primarily serves as a first-line supplier for many manufacturers of trucks, buses, off-road vehicles and machines, as well as some furniture makers.

Looking for a technical role with responsibility, customer contact and plenty of variety? As a Project Engineer, you will guide projects from quotation to production and act as the connecting link between international customers and various internal departments.

You will be given responsibility for one or more major customers, such as Scania, Volvo, Daimler, DAF and Atlas Copco. In doing so, you will work closely with production, quality, tooling, purchasing and logistics.

Your tasks:

• You support the preparation and release of quotations and assess customer requests from a technical, qualitative and logistical perspective.
• Additionally, you coordinate new projects and orders, from startup to initial production.
• Subsequently, you organize and monitor the purchase of parts, tooling and other project requirements.
• You organize APQP meetings and monitor the set deadlines.
• Additionally, you process project data correctly in the ERP system.
• Subsequently, you guide the first production runs in collaboration with production, planning and quality.
• You maintain customer contact and follow up on project-related questions.
• Additionally, you analyze project results and translate them into concrete improvement actions.
• You lead improvement projects within production, R&D and organization according to the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.
• Finally, you develop analyses and optimizations to make processes more efficient.

Who are you:

• You hold a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering Electromechanics or equivalent experience.
• You have a technical background and enjoy guiding projects from A to Z.
• You communicate fluently and work easily with customers and various internal departments.
• You combine a commercial mindset with attention to technical feasibility, quality and correct follow-up.
• You work in a structured and accurate manner and monitor deadlines and agreements.
• You take independent initiative, identify problems in a timely manner and actively look for solutions.
• You speak and write good English for communication with international customers.
• You work fluently with MS Office, mainly Excel and Outlook.
