Role Description The DICTION/PHONICS TEACHER is a full-time, on-site position based in Awka. This role involves planning and delivering clear, age-appropriate lessons focused on diction, phonics, pronunciation, and oral communication skills. The teacher will design instructional materials, facilitate interactive classroom activities, assess learner progress, and provide constructive feedback to support language development. Daily responsibilities include Lesson Recording: Record high-quality diction lessons for virtual learning. Script Writing: Develop clear, engaging, and curriculum-aligned lesson scripts, tracking learner performance, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum improvement, and participating in training sessions and staff meetings. Qualifications

Requirements

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Teaching and Training, with experience delivering phonics and diction lessons to diverse learners.
• Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning and Education skills, including the ability to design structured, goal-oriented lessons and assessments.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken English, active listening, and the ability to give constructive feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, English, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior classroom teaching experience, especially in phonics, diction, or language arts, is highly beneficial.
• Ability to manage a dynamic classroom, use basic educational technology, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
