As part of the establishment of its new production plant in Denain, Gnosis By Lesaffre is recruiting a MICROBIOLOGY QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (M/F) on a fixed-term contract who will contribute to the setup of the microbiology laboratory and ensure its proper functioning.

Within the Quality Control laboratory and reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will actively participate in the setup and development of the microbiological activity of a new industrial site specializing in bioprocesses and fermentation.

In this capacity, you will intervene in microbiological control activities, production support, and the structuring of the laboratory.

Participate in the construction and development of the laboratory

  • Contribute to the commissioning and organization of the microbiological quality control laboratory.
  • Participate in the transfer, qualification, and optimization of analytical methods.
  • Ensure the monitoring of equipment, consumables, and reagents necessary for the proper functioning of the laboratory.
  • Participate in the implementation of documentary tools and laboratory operating standards.

Guarantee the microbiological quality of production activities

  • Perform sampling and microbiological analyses on raw materials, intermediate products, finished products, and production environments.
  • Ensure the microbiological monitoring of utilities and manufacturing zones.
  • Interpret analytical results and contribute to investigations in case of deviations or atypical results.
  • Participate in the monitoring of analyses entrusted to partner laboratories.

Contribute to fermentation and propagation activities

  • Prepare culture media and participate in microbiological propagation operations.
  • Perform inoculations and ensure the monitoring of different culture stages.
  • Participate in the management, maintenance, and securing of strain and cell banks.
  • Support production teams in activities related to the startup of fermentation processes.

Participate in quality control and continuous improvement

  • Ensure the traceability of analyses and the maintenance of laboratory documentation.
  • Contribute to the processing of deviations, non-conformities, and quality investigations.
  • Participate in the drafting and updating of quality procedures and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP, safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements.
  • Be proactive in improving methods, laboratory practices, and the general organization of the department.

Education: Bac +2/3 in microbiology.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the pharmaceutical, food, or biotechnology industry.

Technical skills: Knowledge of microbiological quality control techniques.
