In this framework, we wish to strengthen our system. Your mission Join the Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) department within Lesaffre Opérations! As a market analyst intern, you will participate in improving market analyses through the construction and optimization of databases and their optimal use to support strategic decisions. Reporting to the market analyst, you will actively participate in the structuring of information and its use on a global scale, with complex and confidential data. The intern may be required to work on cross-functional projects in connection with the Lesaffre International economic intelligence network. Your responsibilities Map markets, consolidate existing databases, and enrich them Extract data from multiple sources and implement it with the correct interpretation into the existing database to allow for optimal and exhaustive country analyses, both on macroeconomic, technical, and industrial data, Identify reliable sources to complete missing data and list them to improve the monitoring process, Update the specifications and methodology to allow for optimal use of the databases. Optimize and interpret data Verify the consistency of the data obtained, via already established methods or by proposing other methods, Refine yields by industry and by raw material to gain precision in analyses through interviews or literature reviews, Identify new tools and technologies to improve data analysis. Improve the reporting format to guide decision-making and improve the projection algorithm Propose a method and/or simplified tools for integrating and modifying projection scenario data by country to be more adaptive and collaborative in development, Propose suitable communication and data visualization supports for supply/demand balances of raw materials and prospective scenarios to support decision-making, Participate in internal projects involving the use of new monitoring or analysis tools, in order to improve internal collaboration with the economic intelligence network. Creation of new databases Propose a structure and implement new databases for other commodities on the same model as the existing one and adapted to specificities.

Education Student in Master 1 or 2 in a business school, engineering school, or university with a specialization in Data Science/Statistics, International Trade, Agronomy/Agroeconomics/Agri-food. A double degree in agro/biology/chemistry engineering + Data would be an asset. Technical skills Advanced mastery of Excel (indispensable): manipulation of large volumes of data, pivot tables, complex formulas, and add-ons (ARGO), Knowledge of databases, Analytical skills to correctly interpret complex data / Ability to decipher complex sectoral data, Notions of statistical/econometric modeling, Professional English (reading technical reports, extracting international data).
