Marketing Coordinator - Southern Africa Area

Mission: Contribute to making Lesaffre known as a Global Key Actor in Bread-making Solutions (Yeasts, Bread-Making Ingredients, Technical Support, Formulation expertise and Sensory Analysis) Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance the company's brand visibility Ensure effective coordination between the sales and marketing functions to align with the overall business objectives Position Summary: Reporting to the Sub-region Director, you will drive brand growth, demand generation, and customer engagement for Lesaffre’s yeast and baking solutions across Southern Africa, in support of our entities (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya) and the markets where we operate (Indian Ocean, Angola, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda…). Develop and execute online and offline marketing strategies, optimize the marketing mix (4Ps), and collaborate with sales, R&D, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives. Main Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning Develop and implement localized marketing strategies aligned with regional goals. Lead marketing mix (4Ps) – product positioning, pricing, distribution, and promotions. Conduct market research (competitors, trends, customer insights) to identify growth opportunities. Digital & Online Marketing Manage websites, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), email campaigns, WhatsApp communications Animate & manage local mobile applications for craft bakers through annual editorial calendars Track KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversions) and optimise performance. Offline & Trade Marketing Execute trade shows, events, and in-store promotions (POS materials, distributor incentives). Organize workshops and demo days. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Create B2B campaigns (industrial bakeries, food manufacturers) and B2C content (recipes, social media). Support distributors with marketing collateral and training. Gather customer feedback to refine strategies. Budget management Manage marketing budget and ensure ROI optimization. Oversee agencies, vendors, and freelancers (digital, print, events).
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with sales, R&D, and finance to align marketing with business goals. Share local insights with global/regional teams.
Education: Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in marketing (B2B/B2C), with 3+ years in FMCG, food, or agriculture.
Skills: Digital Marketing (SEO, social media, email, ads) Trade Marketing (events, POS, distributor support) Analytical & Creative (data-driven decisions, content creation) Stakeholder Management (sales, distributors, agencies) Languages: English (fluent); French or Portuguese (a plus). Travel: 30–40% within Southern Africa.
