C++ Software Development Engineer (M/F)
Within a small team of engineers and PhDs, you will contribute to the realization of an innovative medical device. You will design, primarily in C++ and Qt, robust, high-performance, and maintainable software components and user interfaces, and ensure their integration with robotics, navigation, and imaging systems.
Reporting directly to the start-up's CEO, you will be involved in all phases of the development of an innovative medical component or device, from proof of concept to industrialization. You will learn to work in a demanding quality context and, notably, you will write study reports, design documents, and test plans in English.
Your main role is to contribute with inventiveness to the development of a robotic orthopedic surgery solution to offer practitioners innovative means to improve the care they provide to patients.
Your missions will be as follows:
- Determine needs and develop specifications and requirements with, if necessary, a Product Manager
- Perform technological monitoring and/or bibliographic research to successfully carry out projects
- Develop an architecture or technical design based on a design inputs file and/or specifications
- Set up and perform tests, internally, in collaboration with partners or subcontractors
- Know and implement the company's quality system procedures applicable to projects
With a Master's degree level, you have several years of experience in software development, object-oriented design and programming, modern C++, and associated tools:
- Build tools and build system MSVC/GCC, CMake
- Version management Git and CI/CD GitLab
- Static/dynamic analysis (Clang, Valgrind)
- Unit and integration testing frameworks (Qt Test, Google Test)
You are familiar with development best practices and know how to apply them to write clear, maintainable, and tested code. You have good notions in linear algebra, spatial geometry, and numerical optimization, allowing you to work on technical solutions involving computer vision methods, advanced image processing, machine learning, and deep learning.
Any experience or familiarity with the following elements is an undeniable plus:
- Cybersecurity best practices for software development
- Graphical interface development with Qt
- 3D rendering (OpenGL or other)
- Parallel processing with CUDA
- Python and PyTorch for the development and training of neural networks
- DICOM standard
- C++ libraries ITK and VTK
- Medical device software lifecycle requirements (IEC62304 standard)
Your English is operational (minimum B2).
You are highly motivated by the surgery of the future and the service provided to patients. You have demonstrated your ability to master new fields and to find pragmatic or original solutions.
