Senior Research Engineer | Lernia | Uppsala
Your tasks
Do you want to work in a research-oriented role where you can contribute to the development of innovative technologies within bioprocessing and protein analysis? We are now looking for a Senior Research Engineer for an exciting assignment within Life Science in Uppsala.
About the position As a Senior Research Engineer, you will belong to a research and development department working to develop technologies and products within bioprocessing. The role involves working with experimental research related to protein binding, glycosylation, and the development of analytical methods.
You will be responsible for independently planning, conducting, and evaluating laboratory experiments with a focus on, among other things, Biacore and SPR-based analyses. The work also includes method development, optimization, troubleshooting, and analysis of experimental results. You are expected to document your results in a structured manner and contribute to the development of new experimental approaches.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues and specialists in various research areas, both locally and internationally. You will become part of a cross-functional research environment where you will have the opportunity to influence experimental development and contribute to the bioprocessing technologies of the future.
About you We are looking for someone who is scientifically curious, analytical, and enjoys a research-intensive environment where problem-solving and development are in focus. You have an independent working style and feel comfortable planning and driving experiments even when there is no predetermined method to follow.
You are structured, proactive, and have the ability to analyze complex results and translate them into concrete improvements. You view challenges as a natural part of the research process and have a solution-oriented approach to experiments that do not yield expected results.
Furthermore, you have good collaborative skills and communicate clearly with colleagues from different disciplines and geographical locations. The role is suitable for you who appreciates combining advanced laboratory work with independent responsibility and international collaboration.
