Senior Product Owner

Legal AI is only as good as the knowledge behind it, and at Lefebvre Sdu, we have been building that knowledge for 200 years. Day in, day out. Law by law. Word by word. We do this so carefully that other legal AI tools run on our data and software. From our Dutch office, we are also building our own platform for Lefebvre Group, the European leader in legal and tax knowledge: GenIA-L, which has now reached over 100 million euro in ARR in Europe. More than 75,000 professionals use it daily, and we are building it to the standard their profession demands. We are looking for a Senior Product Owner who determines how we meet that standard.

HOW YOU WILL MOVE US FORWARD

As a Senior Product Owner, you are responsible for a domain within our flagship: GenIA-L. Our existing customers are migrating to the platform, and a customer who has been migrated but does not use it does not count as a result for us. You ensure that our customers actually start working with it. At the same time, you safeguard what distinguishes us, namely that everything the platform delivers is traceable, and we view this as a product responsibility.

Within your domain, you will contribute to the vision and roadmap and translate that same strategy into functionalities, user stories, and requirements.

You set the standard for how we make product decisions.

As a sparring partner to our Lead Product Owner and (co)mentor to the other Product Owners, you are the one who makes trade-offs explicit and contributes to the strategic product vision.

You work closely with our development teams to realize features and are responsible for managing the backlog.

You collect feedback from users, collect product data, and translate those data points into actions to constantly improve the product.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You feel at home in an organization in the midst of a transition. Where we used to be a true publisher and printer at heart and soul, we are increasingly becoming a software company. Additionally, you love to build and can think along at a strategic level about the product vision and roadmap of Lefebvre Sdu.

• At least 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in SaaS, with at least 1 product that you have brought from discovery to launch and subsequently developed further.

• Demonstrable ownership at platform or multi-team level. You were the owner of something that other teams built upon.

• Knowledge of AI, and preferably legal AI, is a plus. If you have built an AI, ML, search, or data-driven product, we would love to hear about it.

• Domain knowledge in legal, tax, or professional services is a plus.

• You speak and write English at a professional level. Dutch is a strong plus, because our customers and content are Dutch.

WHAT YOU WILL GET

You will report to Ben Wallis, our Lead Product Owner, and contribute to the strategic choices surrounding GenIA-L. You will work in a small product team of 4 to 5 Product Owners, each with their own domain. Daily, you work with front-end, back-end, DevOps, UX, and AI engineering, each with their own lead. Additionally, you work closely with the subject matter experts who safeguard the quality of our knowledge, and with commerce: which brings the platform to the market. The team is small, the platform is large, and the lines of communication are short. You will primarily grow in scope: you will start with 1 domain and take on a 2nd as you become more deeply involved in AI products. And because the platform is used throughout Europe, your decisions travel further than the Netherlands.

A good base salary between €6220 and €7300 and a standard full-time work week of 36 hours, plus additional great benefits:

• An end-of-year bonus of 4% of your gross annual salary and a variable profit sharing that can reach up to 6% of your gross annual salary.

• 23 vacation days and a personal choice budget of 12%, of which 8% is holiday allowance and 4% is freely spendable for, for example, extra vacation days.

• A variable bonus target of 10%, based on individual and company results.

• A good pension scheme via PGB, including supplementary partner insurance.

• A travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometer or a public transport allowance, and we offer an attractive bicycle scheme. For employees with a commuting distance of less than 10 km or more than 60 km, we have an adjusted scheme.

• Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the office in Den Haag, on Tuesday and Thursday.
