Our Industrial Division based in Bordeaux / Cestas is looking for its future Methods / Tooling Engineer (M/F)

Missions

Define and adapt industrial production tools for the implementation of new manufacturing processes

As part of the production launch of new machines:

• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to understand new product specifications and their technical requirements
• Participate in or develop manufacturing and assembly processes
• Identify and adapt production equipment to effectively integrate new manufacturing processes
• Define innovative industrial solutions to optimize productivity and guarantee the quality of manufactured products
• Supervise the implementation of equipment in production and ensure its operational validation

Monitor and improve production means

• Analyze the performance of existing production means and propose technical improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, cycle times, and quality deviations
• Design 3D/2D tooling or complementary equipment to optimize existing processes
• Guarantee the proper monitoring of the industrial tool at the Cestas plant
• Ensure technological monitoring to integrate 4.0 solutions into production tools (automation, smart sensors, IoT)
• Supervise suppliers for the manufacture and improvement of equipment.

Support the Suzhou (China) and Tolland (USA) sites in the deployment of new processes and production means

• Accompany local teams during the installation and commissioning of new production means
• Train international teams on the tools and procedures implemented, ensuring their proper adoption
• Provide technical support to resolve complex problems related to production means and their integration
• Participate in the harmonization of practices and standards between different sites.

Job specificity: travel once a year (approximately 3 weeks) to the United States or China.

PROFILE

You hold an Engineering degree specialized in mechanics or mechatronics and have successful experience in industrial methods, ideally in an international environment.

Required Skills

• Expertise in industrial methods, tooling design, and production means management
• Mastery of CAD tools (3D/2D) and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Skills in 4.0 technology integration and industrial automation
• Extensive knowledge in mechatronics
• Fluent English

• Rigor and analytical spirit to optimize industrial processes
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Autonomy and proactivity to successfully carry out assigned projects

The position is based in Cestas (23 chemin de Marticot) - to join us:

• Accessible via the A63 highway, exit 25 (car and two-wheeler parking on site)
• From Bordeaux center in 20-25 min: 12 min TER Bordeaux St-Jean - Cestas-Gazinet and 10 min by bike/scooter to access the campus via an off-road cycle path.
• From Pessac - Unitec Stop via Transgironde 602: Marticot stop: 20min
