Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full set of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Monitor & support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to facilitate management decision-making.
- Process monthly payroll, including staff claims, allowances, bonuses and reimbursements.
- Administer CPF, IRAS and other statutory submissions.
- Prepare and submit GST returns accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate annual external audits and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with auditors and respond to audit-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal control procedures.
- Prepare, submit and monitor government grant claims and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper financial records and supporting documents for audits, grants and regulatory reviews.
- Process vendor invoices and payments, and maintain vendor records and payment schedules.
- Monitor service agreements, recurring contractual obligations and expenditure commitments.
- Support cost control initiatives and procurement tracking.
- Prepare regular management reports, including revenue, collection, payroll, cash flow, budget variance, profitability and financial KPI reports.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls, improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Experience managing full set accounts, payroll and GST reporting.
- Experience supporting external audits and statutory submissions.
- Prior experience in the education/preschool or audit will be highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as MYOB preferred.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information.
