PROJECT MANAGER / ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
The Opportunity
We are a well-established construction and engineering firm with a strong track record in building works and large-scale Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and drive the project to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle – from planning, coordination, and execution through to handover – for building and A&A works.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and progress milestones.
- Liaise and coordinate closely with clients, consultant teams (architects and engineers), subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all project objectives are met.
- Enforce strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards on site.
- Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience, with a proven track record in managing A&A or building construction projects.
- Prior involvement in projects of similar scale and complexity (e.g., residential/commercial A&A) is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
