Estate Manager & Private PA Support Jersey, Channel Islands | £60,000-£70,000 DOE | Hybrid
Leaman Consulting is delighted to be working with a discreet private family seeking an experienced & Estate Manager with Private Assistant to take ownership of their Jersey estate, commercial property portfolio and private administration. This is a rare and genuinely varied role, suited to a highly organised, proactive individual who enjoys working autonomously and creating structure. The successful candidate will oversee a 20-acre private estate, coordinate household staff and contractors, support ongoing building works, manage the administration of a wider property portfolio and provide private PA support to the principals when they are in residence.
Key Responsibilities
Estate & Household Management
- Take responsibility for the smooth running and presentation of the family's 20-acre private estate, including the main house, two apartments and an additional property.
- Ensure the residences are fully prepared and maintained to an exceptional standard ahead of the family's visits.
- Coordinate the housekeeper, gardener, contractors and suppliers, overseeing proactive maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain a structured maintenance plan for the estate and act as the family's key point of contact on the ground.
- Support ongoing building and construction works, liaising with the construction team and coordinating access and household requirements.
- Coordinate practical arrangements including cleaning, vehicles, deliveries, post and property readiness.
Property Portfolio & Finance
- Bring structure and efficient systems to the family's commercial property portfolio, currently comprising five let properties, including two blocks of flats.
- Liaise with estate agents, contractors and professional advisers to ensure the portfolio runs smoothly.
- Maintain accurate records of properties, contracts, insurance, compliance and associated documentation.
- Coordinate & record invoices, expenditure and payments, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Systems, Technology & AI
- Review existing administration and create streamlined systems for paperwork, accounts and property records.
- Digitise information and establish a clear, centralised filing and document management system.
- Be highly confident with technology and modern digital tools, including AI platforms such as Claude, using these to streamline administration and improve efficiency.
- Continuously look for ways to make processes more effective and the family's lives easier.
Private PA Support
- Provide private PA support to the principals when they are in Jersey or Europe.
- Coordinate flights, accommodation, transfers, visas, calendars and invitations across different time zones.
- Work closely with the family's wider administrative support in Singapore.
- Assist with events and special occasions in Jersey, coordinating suppliers and practical arrangements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience within Estate Management, Property Management, House Management or Private/Executive PA, ideally with a blend of estate and private support experience. You will be a natural self-starter who is:
- Highly organised, reliable and exceptionally proactive.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership without constant supervision.
- Confident managing contractors, suppliers, staff and multiple projects.
- Financially capable, with strong administrative and Excel skills.
- Tech and AI savvy, with a genuine interest in using technology to improve systems and efficiency.
- A practical problem-solver who enjoys creating order and finding solutions.
- Discreet, personable and confident dealing with stakeholders on behalf of the family.
- Looking for a long-term role where you can build systems, establish structure and make a genuine difference.
Previous experience within a private household, UHNW environment or family office would be advantageous, as would existing knowledge or connections in Jersey.
Location & Package
The role is based in Jersey with a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with the successful candidate required to be on-site whenever necessary, particularly during the family's visits, building works and maintenance projects. Accommodation is not provided. Salary: £60,000-£70,000 depending on experience. A full driving licence and the right to live and work in Jersey are essential.
