About the company

As part of its development, our client, a player in the fashion and ready-to-wear sector, is looking for a Product Developer / Patternmaking Technician to join its teams in Marseille.

Your tasks

You will work on the technical development of collections, mainly on men's products, from the development of models to their validation before shipment. Working closely with the style and purchasing teams, you will ensure product compliance, adherence to specifications, and quality requirements.

This versatile position combines patternmaking, production monitoring, quality control, and coordination with international suppliers.

PATTERNMAKING AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Develop and adjust measurement charts according to technical requirements and garment fit.
• Ensure the monitoring of model grading.
• Control and validate the measurements of initial prototypes and collection samples.
• Verify the compliance of materials and components against technical files.

PRODUCTION MONITORING

• Ensure the monitoring of samples through the various stages of development and manufacturing.
• Prepare and launch production based on orders validated by the purchasing teams.
• Verify the stylistic and dimensional compliance of pre-production samples and final samples.
• Monitor production until validation before shipment.
• Coordinate exchanges with the purchasing and import teams.
• Control the compliance of care labels.

QUALITY CONTROL

• Update specifications and ensure their application.
• Control product quality according to defined procedures.
• Identify non-conformities and compile dispute files.
• Ensure technical exchanges with suppliers to guarantee compliance with quality requirements and technical files.

SAMPLE MANAGEMENT AND SHOOTS

• Organize the monitoring and reception of samples intended for photo shoots.
• Coordinate the availability of products with the communication and marketing teams.
• Participate in the organization of shoots, particularly for the children's collection.

Requirements

You have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in ready-to-wear, ideally on men's products and in a similar function in product development, patternmaking, or technical production monitoring.

You possess the following skills

• Good technical knowledge of menswear and its manufacturing requirements.
• Mastery of measurement charts, grading, and prototype validation.
• Experience in production monitoring and quality control in the textile sector.
• Good proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and the Pack Office.
• Fluent technical English, both written and spoken, to communicate with suppliers and write technical comments.

Organized, rigorous, and reactive, you know how to manage several files simultaneously. Your analytical skills, autonomy, and interpersonal qualities allow you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
