R&D Study Manager (M/F)
Job Description:
The Instruments Pole Manager plays a key and structuring role:
he/she guarantees technical consistency, the robustness of developments, and the dissemination of expertise in service of all products.
Under the direct supervision of the R&D Manager, the Instruments pole manager will manage the transverse R&D technical teams (mechanics, hardware, LabView, electronics, power electronics, and industrialization support).
Operational Management: Supervision of local managers and engineers of the pole***1 Project leader compliance
- 1 HW Subject Matter Expert
- 3 HW/MECA/Labview local team managers
- 2 technical coordinators
- Conduct professional interviews in part
- Anticipate needs of all kinds ahead of projects in order to evolve towards greater global efficiency: recruitments, resources, practical evolutions, roadmaps Regular Steering Committee (COPIL) Reporting
- Validate employee training
- Propose salary increases for personnel within their scope of responsibility
- Propose job openings and job changes within their transverse scope of responsibility
Structuring & Technical Steering***Define and deploy R&D methodologies (development cycle, validation, tests)
- Drive common technical standards (hardware, software, protocols)
- Provide advice and critique on the technical part of the transverse domain
- Build and provide vision to the teams (Strategy, challenges, projects, technical culture, management)
- Take leadership of transverse programs or projects when project leaders are unable to do so
Expertise & Transverse Support***Provide high-level technical expertise (electrochemistry, instrumentation, signal) Intervene in support of project teams on complex subjects
- Participation in the formalization of product development processes
- Supervise R&D purchases related to instrument development: validation of requests, audit trail, effectiveness of purchasing processes, validation of invoices
R&D Quality & Performance***Guarantee the reliability and precision of instruments
- Drive validation / qualification processes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D performance
Profile Description:
Profile sought
Minimum Bac+4 in Electronics and/or mechanics, or in an industrial design field
Confirmed experience in R&D team Management of at least 3 years
Confirmed experience in R&D project management in an industrial environment
Confirmed level in electronics and mechanics
Good knowledge of business practices regarding R&D service provision.
Mastery of Gitlab
Mastery of technical English (written and oral)
