We are recruiting a Buyer to strengthen the purchasing team of an industry specializing in the manufacturing of electronic equipment for the aeronautics sector.
In a demanding industrial environment, we are looking for a Buyer specialized in electronic components.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will take charge of your supplier portfolio and intervene in the entire purchasing process, from needs analysis and sourcing to negotiation and supplier performance monitoring.
You will work in close collaboration with the various departments of the company: design office, quality, production, Supply Chain, R&D, and sales teams.
Your missions:
Your responsibilities will notably include:
- Analyzing and qualifying purchasing needs in connection with internal teams;
- Participating in the definition of technical and functional specifications;
- Ensuring regular market monitoring and identifying new solutions and new suppliers;
- Sourcing and selecting electronic component suppliers meeting technical, economic, and qualitative requirements;
- Launching and managing consultations and calls for tender as well as requests for quotation (RFQ);
- Analyzing and comparing different supplier proposals;
- Preparing and conducting negotiations regarding prices, quality, volumes, lead times, and contractual conditions;
- Formalizing negotiated agreements and participating in contract drafting;
- Managing the relationship with suppliers and ensuring compliance with their commitments;
- Managing any disputes and contractual discrepancies;
- Monitoring the purchasing budget and performing reporting on your activity;
- Identifying supplier risks and deploying necessary security actions;
- Measuring and monitoring supplier performance through defined indicators;
- Participating in project and quality meetings and coordinating the various stakeholders on purchasing topics for which you are responsible.
Profile sought:
- Minimum Bac+2 degree in purchasing or equivalent curriculum;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Buyer in an industrial environment;
- Experience in the purchase of electronic components;
- Good mastery of the different stages of the purchasing process: sourcing, consultations, calls for tender, cost analysis, and negotiation;
- Ability to manage and develop a supplier portfolio;
- Mastery of spend analysis and purchasing segmentation tools;
- Strong negotiation skills and result-oriented mindset;
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, quality, production, and Supply Chain stakeholders;
- Fluent English is essential, as the position requires regular professional exchanges in this language.
