Product Designer — Luxury Acrylic & 3D-Printed Objects

About us We design and manufacture premium physical objects in Kuwait — trophies, award mementos, event centerpieces, and decorative trays — for corporate clients, government entities, and luxury retail. Everything is made in-house on laser cutters and a fleet of FDM 3D printers. We also run our own decorative product brand. We are not an agency and we do not do screen design. Every object we draw gets cut, printed, assembled, and photographed. The role You will own the design of our collections end to end: from the first concept sketch through the manufacturing files that go to the machines. You'll work directly with the workshop, hold a prototype in your hands the same week you model it, and iterate until the assembly is clean. What you'll design:

• Award trophies and commemorative mementos in cast acrylic with 3D-printed structural components
• Seasonal decorative collections — trays, stands, plaques, vases
• Event centerpieces and display pieces, often to a client's brand and a fixed deadline
• The manufacturing package for each: cut files, print files, exploded assembly drawings, tolerance notes

What the job is really about: making objects that look expensive and assemble without glue. Interlocking joints, press fits, weight balance, hidden fasteners, clean edges. Beautiful renders that can't be built are worth nothing here. Requirements

• 3+ years designing physical products that were actually manufactured
• Fluent in Rhino 3D, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Blender — you model parametrically and you can change a dimension without rebuilding the file
• You produce production-ready output: DXF for laser cutting, STL/3MF/STEP for printing, with kerf and tolerance already accounted for
• You understand material behaviour: acrylic thickness tolerance, layer adhesion, shrinkage, warping, how a joint fails
• A portfolio that includes exploded views and photographs of finished physical products, not renders alone
• Rendering ability — KeyShot, V-Ray, Blender Cycles or equivalent — because clients approve from images before we cut anything
• Grasshopper or other parametric scripting
• Arabic typography and calligraphy for engraved personalisation
• Architecture or interior design background alongside product work
• Luxury gifting, retail display, or premium packaging experience
• Personal access to a laser cutter or 3D printer

You will be asked to demonstrate

• One project where a manufacturing constraint forced you to change the design, and what you changed
• A paid 3–5 day test brief producing real cut and print files
• Willingness to work Saturday –Thursday on Kuwait time (GMT+3)
