Maintenance Person, Lapland Safaris Saariselkä

Lapland Staff is looking for individuals for maintenance and guidance tasks for the 2026–2027 winter season at Lapland Safaris' Saariselkä and Olos locations.

The job tasks include preparing snowmobiles for the day's safaris, small preventive maintenance work, refueling snowmobiles, and monitoring maintenance needs. Additionally, the tasks include the maintenance and upkeep of used base camps and snowmobile tracks, as well as other equipment and maintenance work. Depending on your skills, assistant guide or guide duties may also be part of your work if necessary. Successful performance of the tasks requires experience in driving snowmobiles as well as snowmobile handling and mechanics.

As a Lapland Staff employee, we expect you to have a proactive attitude, first aid readiness, a wilderness spirit, and good interpersonal skills. Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are important qualities. We require English language skills and at least a B-class driver's license. If you have a BE driver's license, it will be considered an advantage.

Lapland Safaris organizes paid orientation for the new employee at the start of the employment.

The employment is a fixed-term contract in accordance with the collective agreement for the program services sector. Work begins in November 2026. In Saariselkä, work lasts until the end of March, and in Olos, until the middle of April.

Remuneration is according to the Program Services Sector TES pay scale requirement group B-C, starting from 12.90 €/hour. We expect you to be ready to work on weekends and public holidays. Accommodation is provided in shared rooms at a reasonable rent compared to local price levels.
