Tech & Data Lead (m/f/d)

About the role As Tech & Data Lead, you will build and lead one of the most strategically important teams at LANCH. You are responsible for our entire technical infrastructure, our internal platforms (Partner Portal & LANCH Operating System (OS)), our data architecture, as well as the further development of our AI-driven tools. You ensure that we can scale quickly, stay one step ahead technologically, and that all teams can make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with Founders & C-Level, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and build a strong tech team that combines speed, quality, and pragmatism. Location: Berlin, Germany Start date: asap What you will do: You will lead the Tech & Data team and expand it strategically. You are responsible for the tech & data strategy, make high-level tech decisions, and translate business needs into roadmaps. You own Partner Portal & LANCH OS as Product Owner. You are hands-on and contribute yourself, whether in architecture, development, data, infra, reviews, or tooling. You coach junior developers and create a strong engineering culture. You define hiring needs and conduct hiring. You bring AI and automation tools into the teams and build our internal tech branding. Tech Stack you will own: Backend: FastAPI, SQLModel/SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL Frontend: React, TypeScript Data: BigQuery, dbt, SQL (BigQuery + PostgreSQL) Infrastructure: GCP, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions BI: Metabase AI: Langdock Automation: Zapier, n8n Version Control: GitHub Outlook: 50/50 between hands-on engineering and team leadership Supporting LANCH growth: new brand launches & internationalization Scaling tools like LANCH OS across all departments Actively shaping the technological future of LANCH

About you You have 4-7 years of experience as a Tech Leader, Head of Engineering, or similar – ideally in fast-growing startups, SaaS, or platform models. You are both strategically strong and technically "hands-on". You have a deep understanding of backend architecture, data models, infrastructure, and modern web stacks. You have proven experience in building small tech teams (hiring, mentoring, code culture). You have strong product skills and can translate complex requirements into clear roadmaps. You can explain tech decisions clearly – for junior devs as well as for C-Level. You are data-driven, structured, and use AI tools as a matter of course in your daily work. You speak fluent English; German is a plus. You are eager to redefine technology in an extremely fast-growing consumer company.
