Animal Nutrition R&D Technician (M/F)

In order to support the development of the Animal Nutrition (LAN) business unit, LALLEMAND SAS is looking for an R&D Technician for its Beauzelle (31) site.

Integrated into the R&D team, under the responsibility of the R&D Project Manager - Bacteria Process Development, the R&D technician's main mission will be to support the development and optimization of bacteria production processes (fermentation, concentration, drying):

The main functions associated with this position are:

• Implementing bacterial fermentation productions at laboratory scale (1 to 5L fermenters / centrifugation / lyophilization) and the associated control analyses during production;
• Performing microbiological analyses (counts, isolation, etc.), physiological (API) and physico-chemical analyses on laboratory and industrial productions (during process diagnostics);

• Performing cell banking;
• Preparing culture media and small equipment;

• In addition to these missions, depending on needs, a contribution to the LAN team's cross-functional projects "Product and Process Development":

o Analyses for the development of new counting methods, physico-chemical, analysis and characterization methods of our products during production, post-production and in application

o Contribution to projects related to the evaluation of products (bacteria and yeasts) in application contexts (stability and efficacy of active ingredients)

• Exploiting and formatting the results obtained in computer format;
• Contributing to the drafting of protocols and procedures;

• Contributing to tasks allowing the proper functioning of the laboratory and the maintenance of laboratory equipment;

Profile

• Bac +2: holder of an IUT or BTS Anabiotec/Biotechnologies/IAA
• Ideally with 2 to 3 years of experience in a laboratory.

Hard Skills

• Knowledge of classical microbiological analysis methods
• Mastery of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

• Good knowledge of IT tools
• Knowledge of fermentation processes will be appreciated
