A GRAPHIC DESIGNER CDI

Founded in 2000, Pika Édition is a publishing house specialized in manga. Since our beginnings, we have offered a wide choice of series in very varied styles. We are the publisher of emblematic series such as GTO, Sailor Moon, Fairy Tail or even L’Attaque des Titans, Blue Lock and L’Atelier des Sorciers whose success has marked recent years. With more than 1,800 titles in our catalog and more than 400 new releases per year, we are today one of the leaders of the manga market in France. PIKA Edition has several labels: nobi nobi !, Pika Wavetoon, Anicomi corp., as well as PIKA Ediciones in Spain. Under the responsibility of the Art Director and in collaboration with the Graphic department team, your main missions will be mainly related to the catalogs of the Pika Ediciones and Pika Wavetoon labels, but not exclusively.

In this capacity, your missions, depending on the labels, consist of:

• Taking briefs from editors or the publishing house management.
• Creating collection principles, covers, logos, as well as executing files in compliance with an established schedule.
• Monitoring graphic material (requesting from rights holders and retrieval).
• Acting as an interface with internal stakeholders (editorial, production, marketing).
• Acting as an interface with external stakeholders (freelance graphic designers).
• Maintaining a production program in compliance with fixed schedules.

Profile sought:

You are curious and creative. Autonomous and responsible, you wish to invest yourself in varied projects within a dynamic team. Your qualities of organization, adaptation, rigor, and dynamism are indispensable assets for this position, as is excellent interpersonal skills.

• You possess approximately 5 years of experience in graphic arts (agency, publishing, experience in packaging could be appreciated) and have higher education in graphic arts.
• You have excellent mastery of the Adobe suite (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and of the graphic chain and pre-press.
• You have a confirmed level, especially in writing, in Spanish and English.
• You have a real appetite for the manga universe.

This position is based in Vanves. It is to be filled quickly.
