Within the foreign rights department of Éditions E/P/A, Hachette Pratique, Hachette Tourisme, Le Lotus et l'Éléphant, Mama Éditions, Hachette Heroes, La Plage and Ducasse Édition, you will support the team in the administrative and operational monitoring of international rights sales.
We are looking for an International Rights Sales Assistant on a CDD contract.
In a context of high activity, you will ensure the proper coordination of files and contribute to the smooth running of rights sales and co-edition projects:
- Prepare sales material (presentations, catalogs, sales pitches, translations, samples).
- Ensure the sending and follow-up of material with international partners.
- Ensure liaison with various internal departments (editorial, manufacturing, marketing, accounting, management control) in order to respond to requests from clients and partners.
- Participate in the administrative monitoring of rights sales contracts.
- Ensure the monitoring of invoicing, collections, and royalty declarations.
- Follow co-edition projects in coordination with foreign co-editors, graphic designers, and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines for file delivery and manufacturing.
- Update the department's databases and monitoring tools.
- Participate in the preparation of international book fairs.
Profile sought:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in publishing, rights sales, or a comparable administrative role.
- Excellent organization, rigor, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet sometimes tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and a taste for teamwork.
- Mastery of office tools, especially Excel.
- Fluent English is essential, both written and spoken.
- Mastery of another foreign language (German, Spanish, Italian, etc.) is a plus.
