Your role Reporting directly to the Customs and Excise Manager, you are the guarantor of the integrity, compliance, and quality of customs data entered into our information systems. You are the interface between regulatory compliance and operational performance, whether in customs or transport. You extract, clean, and analyze Master Data and interface data between our systems to enable fine-tuned management of the Customs department's performance. You optimize our customs processes/procedures and support the evolution of our tools. Through your actions, you contribute to the continuous improvement of all department processes.
Your missions
- Optimization & Quality of Operational Flows
Implementation of systematic documentary compliance audits (quantitative and qualitative control), detecting and analyzing discrepancies and anomalies, then deploying and implementing corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate recurrence.
Definition/construction, and monitoring of KPIs on all items of our customs and transport activity.
Guarantor of customs data quality: Performs controls and conducts in-depth work on sensitive elements to increase the quality of our data (NDP, origins, customs values, UMS, litrage, degree, quantity, weight, excise tax regime, customs regimes, litrage, degree, quantity, weight, etc...).
Responsible for the integrity of our material accounting, whether for inbound or outbound flows.
Consistency control between the upstream SAP/SAC system and the downstream material accounting systems / Analyzes the consistency of data constituting the EMEBI, daily customs declarations, etc.; Each anomaly detected during consistency audits results in a tracked (documented) corrective action.
Consistency control between the material accounting management tool, the circulation document management tool, and the customs system (GAMMA).
Performs strict monitoring of the processing of our customs declarations and circulation documents.
Participate in the digitalization/automation of treatments and processes. Identify the limits of current tools, formalize needs for evolution, correction, or automation with IT / Data teams. Active participation in drafting specifications for new customs tools or ERP modules, and managing testing phases (UAT - functional acceptance testing).
- Structuring of Processes & Procedures
Referent regarding customs and excise procedures. Maps existing processes, identifies risk and non-compliance areas, and formalizes clear, deployable, and auditable internal procedures — particularly during legislative changes or the opening of new international subsidiaries.
Raising awareness among various stakeholders regarding the application of our customs obligations in terms of process and compliance.
Driven by a culture of continuous improvement, you are a proactive force for streamlining and automating processes at every stage.
- Reporting, Closing & Performance Management
Structuring and feeding a complete monthly dashboard, combining quantitative and qualitative indicators, for the Manager. This reporting constitutes the main management tool for the Group's customs and excise activity.
Perform cross-analyses on large volumes of data (e.g., import/export flows, customs duties, excise duties paid, etc.).
Measure and challenge the performance of the customs department, carriers, and service providers; Identify areas for improvement and manage corrective action plans.
Identify bottlenecks that delay flows or could jeopardize deliveries to our customers.
Transport / Chartering: Evaluation of the reliability of volume forecasts (service provider's ability to reliably estimate the number of upcoming pallets). Evaluation of the fill rates of transport means, etc.
Monitoring the fluidity of loading/delivery operations. Analyze customer feedback related to transport.
Profile sought Education and Experience Education level: Bachelor's degree (BAC+3) with experience or Master's degree (Bac+4/5). Strong affinity for Data/Information Systems and International Trade / Customs.
Experience: 3 to 5 years in data management (Data Analyst / Master Data) or with field experience facing customs challenges.
Technical Skills Data Expertise: Advanced mastery of Excel (complex lookups), ERP tools (SAP, SAGE, etc.). Excellent practice of Business Intelligence tools (such as Power BI, ...).
Business Knowledge: Good understanding of general customs regulations (liquidation mechanisms, classification, rules of origin, etc.).
Linguistic Skills: English - C1 Level
