Financial Accountant (Agricultural Company)
Key Duties and Responsibilities A. General Ledger & Document Flow Accurately and regularly enter daily journal entries (receipts, payments, adjustments) into the accounting system.
Review and audit financial documents and invoices, ensuring all administrative approvals and signatures are met prior to disbursement.
Perform regular bank and petty cash reconciliations (daily/monthly).
B. Accounts Payable & Receivable (Clients & Suppliers) Monitor customer accounts, collections status, and receivables to secure the company’s cash flow.
Review supplier accounts (agricultural input suppliers, contractors, and service providers), reconcile balances, and process due payments or transfers.
C. Inventory Control & Financial Custody Reconcile warehouse financial accounts (fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, spare parts) with reports received from the inventory management team.
Participate in periodic and annual physical inventory and asset stock counts, reconciling variances with accounting books.
D. Periodic Financial Reporting Assist in preparing monthly trial balances and core financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
Prepare actual expense reports, compare them against approved budgetary plans, and identify financial variances.
Provide supporting financial data to external auditors or senior management upon request.
Requirements and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting major) or equivalent.
Work Experience: 3 to 6 years of financial accounting experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in agricultural, industrial, or multi-branch contracting companies.
Technical Skills: Complete proficiency in computer applications and advanced Excel.
Practical experience working with integrated accounting systems (ERP Systems).
Solid understanding of accounting standards and internal auditing principles.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle tasks under seasonal pressure.
