Tasks:

  • Support in the conception and implementation of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Execution of central database administration tasks, including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, backups, error analysis, and support

  • Continuous further training and observation of industry trends for professional development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification or professional experience
  • More than 5 years of experience in database administration across multiple DBMS platforms
  • Sound experience with cloud databases, especially AWS RDS, as well as in 24/7 high-availability environments
  • Practical experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DynamoDB, or Elastic
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot database issues (performance, data integrity, replication, connectivity, security, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge in the areas of backup, recovery, performance tuning, and general database management
  • Experience in implementing high-availability solutions (clustering, replication)
  • Confident handling of enterprise database tools as well as Unix/Linux environments (scripting is an advantage)
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
