Assistant Service Engineer

Job Description The Assistant Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining and servicing/repairing equipment or systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction for our clients at the contract site with a focus on Building Management System (BMS). Will also be involved with equipment installation, calibration, preventive maintenance and preparation of service documentation and reports.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues of equipment and systems
- Handle all breakdown calls and carry out repairs on faulty equipment in a timely manner
- Monitor and perform regular maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency for our clients
- Maintain detailed records of service interventions and repairs in compliance with safety and operational standards
- Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues both on-site and remotely
- Conduct hands-on training for our clients and field technicians
- Prepare field service reports and related documentation
- Plan, organize, co-ordinate and implement all addition and alteration (A&A) work timely and ensure compliance to all authority and client's requirements
- Liaise with sub-contractors and vendors for quotations and purchase orders
- Liaise and co-ordinate with client's appointed officer and sub-contractors on all issues related to the A&A and project work
- Lead, coordinate, and execute testing & commissioning works for A&A works with proper documentation
- Evaluate project requirements and generate feasible proposals for work completion
- Prepare and submit shop drawings, point schedule, materials, write-ups, and other necessary items for approval
- Track and manage project progress, conduct site surveys, evaluate installation progress on-site and submit progress claims.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any related discipline
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on Field Service and Maintenance experience
- Good knowledge of Building Management System (BMS), Electrical or Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems
- Knowledge of Controller Programming such as Air Handling Unit (AHU), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Chiller Programming
- Able and willing to travel to clients' sites island wide with flexible work schedule to respond to ad-hoc requests
- Proactive, independent and able to work with minimum supervision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
