About the position: The scope of the position concerns part of the French corporate entities managed by BEST France: L'Oréal SA (a company listed on the CAC 40) and other group holdings (including the company BOLD).

Here is your role as an R2R Accounting Manager within the Corporate General Accounting Department:

  • Supervise monthly and quarterly closings under IFRS and French GAAP accounting standards, ensuring compliance with the deadlines and procedures of the L'Oréal group,
  • Assist team members during the uploading of consolidation packages in Magnitude (6 campaigns per year),
  • Ensure the justification of balance sheet accounts within the scope,
  • Ensure the timely completion of the Key Controls defined by the group,
  • Supervise and review the tax returns within the scope,
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation of the Universal Registration Document (URD) of L'Oréal SA (part of the statutory accounts),
  • Supervise the production of statutory documents for the scope (Forecast documents, Book provided to the CSE chartered accountant, management report, etc...)
  • Supervise the production of annual accounts for other entities within the scope (unlisted companies),
  • Ensure the follow-up of questions from the Statutory Auditors and coordinate the team's responses,
  • Operationally support 3 general accountants: answer their daily questions, review their work if necessary, and contribute to their skill development,
  • Work in close collaboration with other BEST teams (P2P, C2A, IG, Compliance & Methods, etc.) as well as with other Finance functions (Controlling, Tax, etc.),
  • Work in close collaboration with the Accounting Director to continuously improve the efficiency of the team.

This position does not involve hierarchical responsibility: as the most experienced member of the team, the Accounting Manager ensures a role of support and operational supervision of the general accountants, with the hierarchical link remaining with the Corporate R2R Accounting Director.

The skills you will need: Technical expertise:

  • Good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and mastery of French GAAP and their operational implications; good knowledge of corporate taxation (IS, TVA, CVAE, etc...); proven experience in multi-entity scopes and large group environments; mastery of SAP and Magnitude required; minimum DSCG level with more than 7 years of experience, ideally partly acquired in an audit or chartered accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent),

Communication:

  • Synthesizes and reports information clearly and relevantly; communicates easily with various stakeholders (accountants, BEST teams, Controlling, Tax, Group Accounting Department, Group Consolidation Department, Statutory Auditors...),

Cooperation:

  • Knows how to work transversely on common intra-Finance and cross-functional topics; demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a true collective culture,

Result-oriented:

  • Acts as operational support for their team, demonstrates proactivity, autonomy, and intellectual curiosity, is proactive in making proposals, respects deadlines, and performs relevant controls on their activities,
