Project Buyer - Mechanical (M/F)

Industrial group specializing in the design of custom machines, located in Orléans (45). The company designs complex industrial equipment for international clients, in an engineer-to-order production environment requiring strong technical and purchasing expertise.

The position:

Within a structured purchasing team, you will take charge of mechanical purchasing in an engineer-to-order production environment (no serial or volume purchasing):

• Project purchasing: sourcing, consultation, and selection of suppliers for mechanical components (and some electronics) as part of custom machine projects. - Negotiation: constant adjustment management with suppliers, without predictable volume - a demanding context that requires reactivity and interpersonal skills. - Blueprint reading: analysis of technical drawings to validate the conformity of purchased parts and components. - Contracts & general services: progressive participation in the management of general services contracts (buildings, telephony?) and reviewing supplier contracts with a basic legal perspective (compliance with commitments, withholding payment in case of breach).

Profile sought:

• Bac+5 (engineering school, master in purchasing, master in mechanics, or equivalent). - Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical purchasing, ideally in a special machine or custom-made / project purchasing environment. - Technical blueprint reading is indispensable. - Fluent English is mandatory (supplier exchanges and technical documents in English). - Rigor, autonomy, ability to manage several projects in parallel.
