About the client and the project:

Robotics software company developing platforms for autonomous mobile robots. The role leads engineering for a platform product that connects business demand with planning, orchestration, fleet operations, execution visibility, analytics, and integration into customer environments for autonomous mobile robot operations.

What you will do:

• Own and evolve the technical architecture of the platform's backend and application layers.
• Define architectural principles, engineering standards, service boundaries, APIs, events, and data responsibilities.
• Design and review scalable, reliable, high-performance distributed systems.
• Guide decisions on concurrency, asynchronous processing, networking, retries, recovery, and fault handling.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including frontend engineering through team leaders.
• Define technical strategy and priorities together with product management.
• Manage technical risks, architectural dependencies, and cross-team integration points, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.

Must-have skills:

• Rust

• 10+ years of experience
• English B2

Location and work model:

• Hybrid (3 days/week in the office, Lisboa)
