Volunteer (m/f/d) wanted

With several large international auctions per year across all sectors in the field of art and antiques, Schloss Ahlden is one of the leading art auction houses and most sought-after generalists in Germany.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Volunteer (m/f/d) starting immediately for a practical introductory year into the art auction business with the option of continued employment.

Your tasks: • Assistance with the acceptance of goods

• Research on the consigned objects• Assistance with scientific processing and cataloging
• Collaboration on a wide variety of advertising measures
• Preparation, setup, and participation in pre-viewing, auction, and post-sale

What you bring: • Degree in Art History • Good written and spoken English skills, other language skills desirable • Good IT skills (Word, Excel) • Experience in handling e-mail, internet, and common search databases • Flexibility and interest in the art trade
