Tasks

The postdoc will work with robot learning for manipulation and explore the latest Vision–Language–Action models (VLA) for tabletop, mobile, or dexterous manipulation. A central focus is to leverage whole-body movements and/or dexterous, multi-fingered hands to improve perception and control, thereby enabling robots to solve complex, contact-rich tasks that require coordinated interaction between base, arm, and hand in dynamic environments. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in robotics and machine learning as well as documented experience in at least two of the following areas: deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, robot perception, navigation, grasping, as well as dexterous or mobile manipulation. Experience in any of the following is particularly meritorious: whole-body control, humanoid platforms or platforms with many degrees of freedom, multi-fingered hands, tactile sensing, or learning-based manipulation in simulation and/or on real systems.
