Licentiate in metal powder production
Project description
Research education subject: Engineering Materials Science
The selected candidate will conduct research on the efficient and sustainable production of various metal powders using established methods such as gas atomization, ball milling, and chemical reactions. The powders will be used in additive manufacturing processes, as well as various advanced applications, for example, magnets. The research will include calculations and simulations but is expected to be primarily experimental. The research will focus on optimizing the properties of the produced powders, as well as increasing the efficiency of the production processes through advanced measurement methods and the implementation of process control methods.
