Senior Tunnel Supervisor

Job Description Supervise day-to-day TBM tunneling operations (including Slurry and EPB systems), managing TBM assembly, initial drive, main drive conversion, and dismantling.

Oversee critical site preparation works, including bore piling, D-wall construction, open-cut excavations, and strut shoring methods.

Manage tunnel lining processes, including ring building, segment erection, and in-situ liner casting.

Coordinate and supervise ground improvement and grouting works, specifically jet pile and fissure grouting for TBM launching blocks.

Lead Cutter Head Interventions (CHI) and safely manage teams working in Compressed Air and Free Air environments.

Monitor daily mining parameters (e.g., thrust speed, torque, advance speed) and maintain accurate site records for water ingress, grout volume, and ring building.

Enforce rigorous site safety protocols, maintaining safe work procedures during heavy lifting, confined space entry, and general construction activities.

Requirements: Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.

At least 10 years of progressive experience in civil construction, with extensive, direct involvement in large-scale underground infrastructure (such as metro rail or deep sewer tunnel projects).

Proven hands-on expertise in Slurry TBM operations, tunnel eye frame construction, and segment erection.

Must hold relevant safety certifications, including the Building Construction Supervisors Safety Tunneling Course and Confined Space Management (or equivalent local standards).
