Technical Documentation Engineer

Are you mechanically strong and do you succeed in explaining complex technology clearly and in a structured manner? As a Technical Writer / Mechanical Documentation Engineer, you translate the operation and assembly of high-tech machines into clear technical documentation, user manuals, and assembly instructions. You work closely with Design Engineers and technical specialists and ensure that documentation is technically correct, user-friendly, and uniform.

Job Description

• You draft technical user manuals, assembly instructions, and other documentation for complex and high-tech machines.
• You delve into the mechanical operation, assembly, and technical construction of machines and translate this information into clear and logically structured documentation.
• You work intensively with Design Engineers and other technical experts to correctly collect and validate all technical information.
• You analyze existing manuals and documentation and rewrite, update, and optimize them where necessary.
• You ensure a consistent structure, terminology, and technical writing style and contribute to uniform templates and documentation standards.
• You monitor the technical accuracy, completeness, and user-friendliness of documentation and ensure it meets the needs of assembly, service, and end users.
• You possess a technical background in Mechanica, Elektromechanica, Machinebouw, or a similar field, through education or relevant experience.
• You have strong mechanical insight and understand fine mechanics, assemblies, technical drawings, tolerances, and the operation of machine parts.
• You have experience in drafting or managing technical documentation, assembly manuals, work instructions, or user manuals.
• You are able to analyze complex technical information and convert it into clear, structured, and practically usable instructions.
• You possess excellent written knowledge of English and communicate fluently with engineers and other technical stakeholders.
• You work accurately and independently, but actively seek collaboration with engineering to document technical information completely and correctly.
