About the company

At KraftCode, we value independence, flexibility, and technical excellence. We’re looking for an experienced PHP Developer who enjoys working with existing systems, improving legacy code, and contributing to the evolution of a mature software platform.

Your tasks

You’ll join a team working on a legacy monolith in the real estate sector, supporting a range of business processes, including property valuation, energy performance certificates, energy-efficiency renovation projects, integrations with public authorities, and document generation for end clients.

  • Maintaining the current application: bug fixes, refactoring and better code quality
  • Helping break the monolith into modules
  • Building and maintaining integrations with external systems over SOAP, REST and other protocols
  • Supporting the migration to AWS

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who goes beyond simply implementing requirements - a developer who can navigate complex legacy code, refactor it safely, identify potential improvements, and collaborate closely with the team to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience with PHP
  • Hands-on experience with Symfony
  • Experience working with legacy code and refactoring it safely
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, ideally MariaDB or MySQL
  • Experience integrating external systems through SOAP and REST APIs
  • Experience with AWS or migrating applications to the cloud
  • Experience generating documents such as PDFs
  • Experience with containers and CI/CD
  • Very good command of English - min. B2/C1

Must have: PHP, Symfony, AWS, MySQL, MariaDB, REST API, SOAP
